Windings and Circlings + Needle Felted/Embroidery Earrings - Make and take your own embroidery hoop project! Weave using the circlings or windings technique, needle felt or embroidery a pendant or earrings. Drop-in whenever you want after check-in and before dinner.
Brioche Basics - This class provides you with the support to make your own 2 color reversible cowl using the Brioche Knit and Brioche Purl stitches. We will be working in the round on a circular needle. Students must be able to knit and purl confidently.
Batt Making/Carding to Spin - Learn to card your own fiber batt! To be used for spinning, or wet felting. Q will guide you on how to blend fibers on combs, blending board, and drum carder. One full art-batt included in the class.
Freestyle Weaving - Learn to weave freestyle and free-spirited on a simple, easy-to-use two-harness floor loom. Experiment with color, texture, and technique, and go home with a unique piece of woven art that reflects your creative spirit (yes, you do have one!)
Fixing Knitting Mistakes + Mending/Darning - Learn to fix some common knitting mistakes; drop stitches, miss-crossed cables, oops that's a purl in my stockinette, and more. Students will also learn some basic mending and darning techniques. If you have projects with mistakes, or something that needs mended, bring it!
Crock Pot Dyeing - Learn the basics of dyeing yarn with acid-dyes in this fun, hands-on workshop. Students will have their own mini-crockpot to play with color!
Incorporating Crochet Granny Squares into Your Knitting - There have been lots of cute tops combining granny squares and knitting. Let's talk about how to stitch together knitting and crochet!
Wet Felting Batts - Those beautiful art batts you made earlier in the weeks, let's make them into more permanent works of art with wet felting!
Brioche Next Steps - Have you mastered the art of "brking" and "brping" and ready to add some more complicated stitches to your repertoire? In "Brioche Next Steps", we cover how to increase and decrease in the world of tuck stitches, AKA brioche. We will work on a small mug-rug with a herringbone pattern in two colors.
Sweater Fit - Measuring and Fiber Lecture - All it takes is a little planning and a little math to help make your sweaters fit perfectly. In this class we go over the basic formulas you can use to make any sweater fit. We will also discuss choosing a sweater pattern, fiber content choices, and how they influences your fit.
